Carpe Diem
March 30th, Onitsura's Special#29, voice of the pine
my childhood pine tree
still burdened with snow in March
waiting Blessed Easter
dim pine tree fragrance
through all day open window -
I can smell young spring
still burdened with snow in March
waiting Blessed Easter
dim pine tree fragrance
through all day open window -
I can smell young spring

March 30th, writing ustensiles
gazing at the moon;
through a thin sheet of paper
I feel its poem
I feel its poem
I use trees to write
my poems about spring nights
inspired by owls

ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Beautiful set of haiku. That first haiku is a gem and winner.
ReplyDeleteYoung spring - hmmmm - it does feel young every single year!
ReplyDeleteYoung spring, delicious. I've got my windows and doors open because it's in the 50's. Amazing how warm 50's feel in the sunlight when one is done with winter.
ReplyDeleteThe haiku was wonderful, as well. I like how you wrapped the theme in on itself.

ReplyDeleteI think snow is a burden that many trees, the pine among them, are wanting desperately to shrug off!
