NaHaiWriMo
April 19th - darkness
alluring sunset,
sweet scent of blooming cherries -
darkness descending
Carpe Diem
April 19th - whisper
whispers in the wind -
just the locusts in this field
hear my fervent cry
The combination of these two prompts brought back to memory a song from a few years ago. Before hitting "play" turn the volume down, please. ;)
I think both have a melancholic hint to them. Or maybe it's just me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the volume warning haha and enjoyed them both.
ReplyDeleteAre locusts capable of whispering? Roaring, I would think! :)
ReplyDeleteHummingbird Whisper
I love both your haiku. The scent of cherries...the sound of locusts.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic song!
ReplyDeleteLove the smell of blossom cherries. So is nahaiwrimo where you have to write a haiku every day during a certain month?
Locusts! That would be quite a loud whisper!
ReplyDeleteI like the second one a lot. Very cool :)
ReplyDeleteYOU are on a roll now! Yes,2nd one really special.
ReplyDeletebeautifully composed set of haiku Adriana, but (smiles) the one for Carpe Diem is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWill your cry be heard?
