Books and movies

I really enjoy reading and seeing movies! These are some of my greatest pleasures, as through movies and books your imagination can go wild, you discover new worlds, new possibilities, new facts, new lives. 

 

Recently, being bored I decided to watch a movie, and searching for one, I stopped at "Pride and Prejudice". I was so impressed by this movie that I saw it more than 10 times in less than a week and I also made my sisters watch it with me, several times!

It is such a beautiful movie, with such a nice story, without obscenities or ugly scenes! It made me regret the fact that I wasn't born a hundred years ago! After seeing the movie, I decided to read the book, too. And so I did!

I noticed that there were some things the script writer and the director changed, but they didn't changed the story! The book was amazing and my only two regrets are the facts that I didn't have the chance to read the book in English and the fact that I can't read it once more in the near future.

I truly recommend both the movie and the book to those who appreciate beautiful, classical love stories without obscenity or macho material.

Dan Brown - Ingeri si demoni

În vacanța asta am citit, în sfârșit, "Îngeri și demoni", roman scris de Dan Brown. M-a fascinat complet stilul acela alert și acțiunea continuă. Am adorat personajele, am călătorit alături de ele și am simțit suspansul, starea lor de spirit, grija, furia sau presiunea lipsei de timp. Și în același ritm alert am citit și eu cartea (am citit-o în 2 zile). 

Trebuie să menționez că mai întâi văzusem filmul și îmi plăcuse. Eram curioasă cât de bună avea să fie cartea și mă întrebam care erau diferențele între carte și film (de fiecare dată sunt destule scene bune care se pierd din carte). Cu toate că există diferențe mari între carte și film (mai ales spre sfârșitul cărții) ambele mi-au plăcut. Cartea rămâne însă preferata mea.

De obicei, când trec de trei sferturi din carte, simt nevoia sa aflu sfârșitul cărții. S-a întâmplat la fel și de data asta, dar acum am preferat să nu-mi stric surpriza, mai ales că existau multe diferențe față de film. Și cu toate că acțiunea îmi era cunoscută, citeam ca și cum nu aveam nicio idee în legătură cu acțiunea. (P.S. Am văzut filmul de cel puțin 5 ori).

Nu înțeleg de ce există persoane care critică acest autor și opera sa. Mie mi-a plăcut enorm. mi s-a părut o lectură captivantă, plăcută, care trezește interesul cititorului, având o proprietate aproape vrăjitorească de a te transporta pe străzile Italiei, în locurile cele mai ascunse ale Vaticanului, în interiorul acelor frumoase biserici. Și trebuie să recunosc, m-a făcut să-mi doresc și mai mult să vizitez Italia.

Cu toate că este o carte controversată, propune o situație ficțională, așa cum fac alte milioane de cărți, apelând la fapte și locații non-ficționale. Nimic neobișnuit. Trebuie să spun că mi-a plăcut și m-a făcut să-mi schimb puțin lista de lecturi pe anul acesta.

Enjoying this holiday

I'm having a lot of good time during this short but relaxing holiday. If everything goes as planned, in a week I'm going to have more than 10.000 words written as an outline for my first attempt to write long fiction. Oh, the lack of internet... it makes me efficient.

I'm also taking care of my first love, the poetry. 

It's true what they say, that you have to read a lot in order to write better.

During the last two weeks I've written down my best poems ever (subjective opinion + praise from those who read my new poetry).

The new thing is that I'm now considering at least one of the publishing offers. Let's hope that after Easter I'll keep writing. I hope that by the mid May I'll have something else to celebrate, besides my inspiration, genetated by the lack of the wonder of internet.
